Twins 36 Weeks

36 Weeks
We have made it to week 36!! Yippee!
-Babies are about the size of Chinese cabbage.

-Around half of twins are born by the end of 36 wks, which is considered to be normal for twins.
-We know one twin is already down in pelvic area & the other is also head down.
-The twins organ system are fully developed & in place, although their lungs will be last to reach maturity.
-Babies amniotic fluid once clear, is now pale & milky.
-The outer layers of their skin are also sloughing off as new forms underneath.

The rest coming soon.
........................................................

Twins 35 Weeks

35 Weeks
We have made it another week & no sign of babies!
I am ready!!!
Babies are about the size of honeydew melons.

-Their skin is smooth & soft & their gums are rigid.
-Babies liver & kidneys are in working order. Circulation & immune systems are good as well.
-I am feeling more pregnant then ever! It is harder each week. There are just so many aches now that suddenly pop up!
-I stretch out & walk around as much as I can. I feel like a HIPPO!
-These two never let me sleep anymore. Always moving around, always. Ha! It is amazing to see how much my tummy moves. Gerard thinks it looks creepy at times. In a good way! We love you babies. One baby will start the moving & then on the other side just in a lower spot.
-I still use the oils & creams as much as I can.
-My belly button sticks out a little now & can see it on some tops I wear.
-I have more water & fluid in my body now. I can notice it more in my hands & cheeks.
-I am always thirsty. It has been that way during the entire pregnancy. However, before I also drank a lot of water daily.
-There is so much pressure in pelvic area & have to go potty all the time.
-I still take lots of naps in the day. There were a few days this week where I just had to lay on sofa & couldn't do much else. I was so uncomfortable.
-Christmas music is playing most of the day if not the radio.
-It is funny when Gerard comes home, the babies start moving a little. I guess it's his voice that makes them move or jab or whatever they do inside.
-At times, I think to myself...how much bigger is my tummy going to get?!? I guess a little more bigger considering the doctor wants me to hold them in longer. Ha! However, my body says another thing.
-The doggy has been attached to my hip all this week. I have to make her go to the dairy with Gerard so she can be a little active.
-I get Braxton Hicks contractions, but nothing serious. One night, I screamed out loud because Baby #2 on the right gave me a huge pinching in pelvic area. It was such a huge surprise because I was so relaxed. Of course, I had a little talk with Baby #2 that hurt Mommy.
-I get the daily messages from my Mom. Anything? Are you in labor? No signs yet? Any news?
-Gerard & I had the last of Christmas parties this week, I think?!? Well I have anyway. I am just too big pregnant. Gerard had a party/dinner with the guys in town & the girls had a gathering in town at our friends house. It was fun & nice to get out & just be with the girls. Then later we met up with the guys at the restaurant/bar. It was just too loud in there & I didn't want to strain my body yelling across the table to have a conversation. Well not being pregnant, anyway. Ha! Later, we drove home & called it a night. I will say, 'G takes advantage of me.' Because I can't drink, lol.
-I don't drive so much because it is so uncomfortable. It is only to the store & dairy & back home.
-I eat smaller portions all during the day. It helps a little. Yesterday, I made dinner & made a plate but could only eat just a little bit. Then I stood up & moved around for about 5 minutes then continued with dinner.
-This week we had a meeting at the midwife. It went fine & not much more information. The babies heartbeats were good & normal. My stomach is measuring 40 cm. I didn't think much of it, but looked later at home on the graph. 35 wks - 40 cm with twins & 35 wks - 35 cm with one baby. I just laughed because I still have a few left if I go that long. Goodness!  I gained another 2 lbs (1 kg) from 32 wks -35 wks. My blood pressure & sugar/urine are all good. No worries there this week. This time with the midwife, I felt a little rushed so it gave me a little discomfort. Of course, I get a little more uneasy when it comes to our kids. After all she is just a midwife not a nurse or doctor. I know we all will be in good hands at the hospital & considering there will be so many people in the room during delivery.
-After the midwife appointment Gerard & I headed to have a drink at Starbucks. It is amazing how many looks & stares I get because of my tummy. I know....I know!
-Gerard & I were talking over coffee one afternoon & it hit me.....Bomb! Christmas is next week! I know I have said it before, I love this time of year! I know our house isn't completely decked out like normal, but there is some Christmas decor.
Gerard has asked me several times, what I want for Christmas. Honestly, I had nothing. There are tons of things that I like or want, but nothing that I am totally crazy with. The greatest gift(s) are coming to us soon! I know I can say the same for Gerard. My heart just fills thinking about that. I am very emotional thinking about their arrival. Could it be 2014 or 2015?!?
-I am more nervous, anxious & doubtful about the ending of my pregnancy. Wondering how everything is going to go & if the babies are okay. But in the end it doesn't matter it will happen one way or another. I am still hoping & praying I do not have to have a cesarean.
-It is crazy to think I will have a Mom title soon!! Wow!
-The end of the week I had made Christmas cookies. Our family tradition that I continue every year. I can't wait to make cookies with the kiddos when they are big enough.
-I am just trying to enjoy the last of my pregnancy even though it is more difficult now. Especially, eating the last of my holiday calories.
-We are another week closer to meeting our two little babies. Yeah!
-Next week, right before Christmas I get checked out again at the hospital. It is very exciting to see what the baby doctor decides. We will probably have a date to go by. That is if I don't go into labor on my own.
So long... week 35!

05 December 2014

Twins 34 Weeks

34 Weeks
-Babies are about the size of butternut squash.

-This week has started off pretty good so far.
-Just stretching out & little walks around the house.
-I have the daily pressure in pelvic area.
-Listening to Christmas music, of course!
-Just resting as much as I can. Putting my feet up, or even having a nap during the day. It helps improve the blood flow to the placenta, which helps the babies grow.
-We are going Christmas shopping this weekend so hopefully I can hang along. Otherwise, I will be resting on the sofa at Starbucks. Then Gerard has to do the rest,ha! It can be a good thing or bad. Actually, we are half done because one day I felt good & decided to get a jump start. So I shopped local & it wouldn't be so hard on me all at one time.
-My bag for the hospital is 80% packed & babies bag is ready!! We just need a few things for Gerard & a goodie bag.
-Here is a 34 week picture of twins in the womb & how they are laying.

-Lola & I were outside playing around. I decided to make a Christmas wreath. We have tons of pine cones in the yard so why not use them. I only bought the candle holders & snow spray, the rest I had at home.

-This upcoming week we are busy with all Christmas parties, doctor appointments, tour of the local Brewery with employees & colleagues, & more Christmas parties. I will continue to write as it gets further along in the week. I am excited to see how big the two littles have grown in two weeks. Also a tad bit nervous what the doctor tells us about the last of pregnancy, exciting!

......................................................................
-I survived week 34 of pregnancy, yeah! I am really happy these two are still baking so they can get bigger & stronger.
-I have had the normal discomfort & at times is more than other times. Our shopping tour to Copenhagen went good & I was surprised I lasted that long. By late afternoon, I was tired in my legs. The next day, I knew I would pay for it- Pay Back! It was true, I didn't do much except lay around because of the tiredness.
-Still doing my daily stretches/walking around the house & drinking lots of fluids.
-Sleeping is just not so good for me. I wake up a lot in night, but then in day time I nap.
-The Braxton Hicks contractions come & go.
-My face, feet & hands are little fuller these days.
-I am a little more hungry at times. I have the want to eat, but can't suddenly because it's too much all at once. So I take a few bites & pause or just eat smaller portions throughout the day.
-I love fresh fruit, but still only want to have apples!
-The dairy had a Christmas party this week & went really good & smooth. It started around lunch time & went on to later afternoon. The timing was great so everyone could take part of it. Gerard's mom ordered the big meal so that helped tons with not having to cook the entire day. I couldn't help that much because I am big pregnant.
-Gerard & I had an appointment at the hospital to see the two babies. It was much better than last visit. We could see that the measurements that were taken last time were not that correct. This time was better & we all could see the twins have grown. It was a nice feeling & a little relief. So Baby #1 is 2245 g (5 lbs) & Baby #2 is 1893 g (4 lbs) I think that is a good size for me being 34 weeks. Everything looked good from the visit & blood pressure was still doing fine. Baby #1 is now almost head to head with Baby #2. Baby #2 is way down in my pelvis area & will probably be the first to come out. Therefore, I have tons of pressure & very heavy tummy. The doctor felt everything was going according to plan & next appointment we will discuss a 'date', finally. Because we have no date just seeing how each week goes. The doctor still is advising & thinks I can give birth normal without a cesarean. Which has been my plan from start & they are laying head down so should be fine. We talked a little about if my water doesn't break then they will break my water to help move the process along. Exciting to see what will happen these next weeks!!!
- The babies are still so very active all day & night. I think there was one day this week where they were a little more quiet & not rolling around.
-The doggy has been attached to me everywhere I go in the house or needs more contact.
-For some reason, every time I wake up I think my water is going to break. It didn't this week anyway.
-Gerard & I getting more nervous & anxious as it gets closer. I already said, sorry to him if I something mean or ugly comes out of my mouth during labor!
-Overall this week went by fast & getting closer to Christmas.

Twins 33 Weeks-Thanksgiving

33 Weeks
-Babies are about the size of small pineapples.

-I am still hanging in there & no sign of babies, yet!
-They might have heads full of hair. For some reason I think they will come out with hair. Gerard says, Nah.
-Babies bones are continuing to harden at this stage too, except their skulls, which stay softer for safe delivery.
-I am feeling & looking more pregnant now. Believe me I get looks & stares all the time.
-I have the pregnant waddle down. Ha!
-Sleeping is just hard these days with the big bump. It's nice I can relax & doz off during the day.
-I am slower & with a few huffs & puffs.
-A little more hungry at times, so I have an apple. I am still on this apple kick for now.
-Still using the creams & oils all over.
-My belly is just so heavy & I have so much pressure. I just tolerate it.
-Stretching out & doing some small exercising from the app I have.
-My back is tender & sore from all the pulling & heaviness.
-This week is free of doctor appointments.
-I am curious how it goes next week...
-The Braxton Hicks contractions come & go.
-Still drinking my daily fluids.
-Going more to the potty.
-We already have a mattress protector on our bed, but I put a thin vinyl sheet under me with a square pad. Just in case!
-I play Christmas music all day long, Spotify just plays away. I absolutely loovveee this time of year. Even more because the babies are arriving around that time. Who knows they might come out singing Christmas songs, ha!
-It is feeling more like winter, finally. Burrr. This November was very warm, grey & rainy.
-I am still getting lots of kicks & jabs. Ninja babies!
-We call the babies by their names now. G & I are careful we don't say, it to others.
-A few times I felt a little nauseated. So I just rested & it went over. It's a little weird to have it because I never had it in the earlier months.
-I normally wake up around 6 am & make some coffee & one piece of toast each for Gerard & I. After he heads off to the dairy & I just chill out reading or watching a bit of the news.
-My belly button is just a tiny bit out now. It feels weird if I rub it.
-This week was Thanksgiving in America. I was just not feeling like making Thanksgiving dinner. I made Pumpkin Cupcakes, that counts right. There was pumpkin used. I miss this holiday with the entire family. However, I couldn't eat too much because I am already looking like a stuffed turkey. Lol! I totally miss my Nana's Thanksgiving foods & traditions. So a Happy Thanksgiving to you all out there.
-I am thankful for many things. Here is one of them: That the babies have not came yet. My goal this entire time was to make it to 34 weeks. It is looking pretty good so far. I have 1 day left of this week. Happy Turkey Day from our little turkeys. Feeling Thankful!

-Gerard has a meeting 3 hours away & will be the last event/meeting that is far away this year. Yeah! He is not allowed to go far away until babies are born! Just kidding. I think that is fair, right?!? Actually, everything is coming to an end for the year.
-This is the second year that Gerard did 'No Shave November' or 'Movember.' Way to support Men's Cancer, Gerard!! I think it's funny Gerard's beard is always red, but his hair is dirty blonde. Now he can't tickle my belly anymore when he kisses it.

-Gerard & I finally ordered a playpen for the twins. We decided to buy the twin size, well G did & I just say...yea...yea. This was his job in ordering something for the two littles. It was easy to put together & after I put the baby music mobile on, it was like...WOW! We both were just looking at it in amazement because it's hard to believe the babies will be here in about a month or sooner. Geez!

-You will have to excuse my big belly & lovely tight photos. Ha! Gerard makes fun of me when I wear them. However, I love them because they are comfortable. They are actually from my sister in-law, Marga. Thanks, Marga they are still getting good use. I know it may be a little embarrassing posting these, but Gerard insisted I do it. Honestly! I was like no way...you are crazy, but then again it might be my last pregnancy?!? It is a little hard to answer that now, but I did it anyway. It's nice for funny memories when we all look back.

-I had an appointment at the hospital. The appointment was for a tour of where I will give birth. I felt really nervous while going in. My friend Tracy drove because I was feeling uncomfortable to drive & Gerard was not able to come. I was grateful she came with me. Sometimes, your thinking so many things & forget to ask questions. I was able to see the room where I will give birth to these two little babies. IF everything goes right, otherwise it will be in the OR. There were many pregnant women for the tour, but only a few of us that were close to term. It all became so real going in to see all the rooms & equipment. Wow! I have never been in the hospital for anything (injuries/sickness) so this is a big deal for me. I know it will all be fine. I can deal with myself, it's just these babies I worry about. Then I remind myself we are in the hospital,ha!
-This next week will be a little more busier for us all. So many things going on during the week.

03 December 2014

Twins 32 Weeks-8 Months

32 Weeks
-Babies are the size of squash.
-This week we had two doctor's appointments.
-Baby #1 has always been a little bigger. Baby #1 is around 1718 g (3.78 lbs)
-Baby #2 is the smaller one. Baby #2 is 1591 g (3.5 lbs)
-My blood pressure was very good. So happy about that!
-My cervix was still closed & everything is going fine there,ha!
-The ultrasound looked good, just the babies are a little smaller then we thought. Baby #1 is -17% & Baby #2 is -24%
They move so much, it is a little more difficult to measure them correctly. It has been like that from the beginning. Honestly, I was a little upset hearing they were under weight. I thought it was something with me not eating right or my body. The doctor reassured me that it is not me, they are just smaller babies. Gerard & I talked about it, we know they are fine just small & we have to remember there is two in there. It is an estimate what they give us. So will see next check up how they are doing.
-Baby #2 is way down in my pelvic area head down still. Baby #1 has turned about 80% head down. So now I get kicked in the ribs....all...the....time....OUCH! I survive it!
-This week I was a little more slower with everything.
-I have to eat slow & in smaller portions. My regular family doctor told me it will help. I threw up one day because there is not so much place in my stomach now.
-My 2nd doctor's visit was fine & just a normal check up. They do the most checking at the hospital/pregnancy clinic.
-The babies are still very active at all times.
-My toes & fingers are still a little thicker. Some days I can wear my ring & others not. It doesn't bother me, it's been pretty good if the swelling starts at 8 months. I feel my cheeks are filling out a little.
-Still very thirsty during the day.
-My gums in my mouth have been a little better too.
-I still have 3 small cups of coffee, not more. I would like to, but can't.
-My hormones are okay. I cry thinking about the babies, not in a bad way just emotional.
-My sleeping at night is still 50/50. I wake because I need to turn over, but I have to give it a little time because my belly is so heavy. Everything has to come into place again. I will say, one day this week I did sleep great. I was just exhausted & didn't wake at all. Nice!
-The Braxton Hicks contractions are still coming during the day.
-I can start the day off very good & then suddenly I am drained for energy. So I need to rest a little.
-This week has still been about apples. That's all I want is apples & eating toast.
-The heartburn has been a little better this week.
-Bending over is just...hilarious in my opinion. It takes forever! It's probably why the dog is getting thick too, she eats everything I drop in the kitchen. Funny!
-My exercising is alright this week. Just walking around with Lola or Gerard & stretching out.
-I can feel more pressure in my back now & hurts a little. I never had it before in all the months. It's because everything expanding & belly getting heavier.
-It is uncomfortable when I have to sit straight up. These babies DO NOT like it & they let me know. So I have to sit a little back. Just like now as I type & update the blog. Wow, they are moving a lot right now.
-My belly is of course getting bigger & Lola is easy with me at times. She sits in my lap, but wants to be up close by my face. It's funny, she has to go over the big bump to get closer. Ha! Sometimes the twins kick her, but she doesn't care as long as she is up close to me.
-The end of the week Gerard's Round Table group had a dinner for the wives. The men made dinner for the women. I will say, it was very nice & thoughtful. It was nice to get out, but just a little hard when your big pregnant. Dinner was way late so I was very hungry. Because we normally eat around the same time each day my tummy could feel it & babies too. I wasn't the only pregnant lady there so made me feel a little better. It was a nice considering all the men made the meal & nothing was burnt.
-We have names, but are still not sharing along with their sex. Sorry!
-Well I had to get on that awful thing they call a scale this week. I will be honest, I always try to take off my shoes, sweater & anything else. But the doctor insists that I leave it all on. Gosh! So I pout a little & Gerard just laughs at me & tells me, Go Ahead...Get On! So at 8 months/32 weeks from start to now, I have gained ... 9.5 kilos which is right at 20 lbs. I really don't know what to think, it is what it is. Our bodies are all different with pregnancy weight. I still try to go by the guidelines of eating normal & healthy. However, I will say if you want a Snickers...then EAT IT! Honestly, I am okay where I am at just as long as these two babies are doing good & are healthy. I just concentrate on the babies & going to full term if I can.

02 December 2014

Twins 31 Weeks

31 Weeks
-Babies are about the size of cucumbers.

-The babies are heading into a growth spurt. They can turn their heads from side to side. They are beginning to put more fat on their bodies.
-I have been having trouble sleeping because they move & are very active. Also because I have tons of pressure & need to go to potty.
-I feel like I am carrying the babies lower now. I wonder if one has turned?
-This week whatever I eat, I get heartburn. Hopefully, next week will be better.
-The Braxton Hicks contractions come & go during the day.
-Going out for small walks with Lola to get fresh air & stretching out.
-I have been on a apple kick. Craving apples. That is all I want to eat is apples for snacks or just because. This week I ate a banana in the morning & for some reason it just didn't go well.
-Very thirsty during the day.
-My hands & feet started getting a little thicker now. My legs & ankles haven't started yet. Some days are more than other days.
-Using all my oils & creams daily.
-I lift my feet up a lot especially if I have been on them a little more that day.
-I have not so much energy, these two take a lot from me. It is amazing how much it affects your body.
-At times I get a few cramps & just always breathe it out.
-I don't like to drive too far unless I have too, just uncomfortable.
-Next week, we get to see babies again at the doctor's.
-This week Gerard's dad had surgery & got a new knee. We went to visit him in the hospital & it went all fine. He was able to come home a few days later & is doing a little better each day. Of course, it will take some months to build up the strength again.
-I am still hanging in there! This week has been okay, but can tell it gets just a tad bit harder on body each week.

30 November 2014

Twins 30 Weeks-Anniversary

30 Weeks

We made it into the 30's!! That is a big deal & so happy everything has been great so far. Thankful!

-Babies are about the size of coconuts.

-Their skin is getting smoother & their brains are continuing to develop.
-We think their weights are about 2.5 - 3.8 lbs (1.13 - 1.72 kilo)
- These two are getting stronger & can feel it. Their kicks & movements are much more harder. Sometimes, I wonder if they kick or jab each other inside my womb?!? I think so from their movements.
-Gerard went to Germany this week with a colleague to Euro Tier. I really didn't want him to go, but I knew it would be fine. I was just afraid, what if I went into labor is all. All the worries that come with it. Of course, I was good & he made it home just fine. At first, I was suppose to go with him & we would stay a few days in Germany & tour around that area. I believe it was Hanover.  Well, I wanted to see all the Christmas markets....awe! Our plan didn't work out because I would be too big pregnant. Next time!
-I am more tired & take a nap sometimes in the mid-morning.
-The Braxton Hick's contractions come go & I just breathe them out.
-My gums are still sensitive in my mouth from time to time.
-Do stretches in the evening.
-My hormones still come & go. I just cry for no reason.
-I have been putting some things in the freezer to help with meals.
-I drink still tons of fluids daily & potty.
- The pressure is the same just uncomfortable!
-This week I made muffins & let me tell you it was a bad idea. Well the frosting was a bad idea. I think it was all gone before I even iced the muffins. I blame it on the pregnancy! Sometimes, is just good to splurge.
-I talk to the babies all the time & play music from time to time. Gerard kisses them & talks to them. Gerard is supporting the 'No Shave November' for men's cancer. So when he kisses my tummy, it tickles & I jump back. The babies probably think, what is going on out there!
-Gerard told me he enjoys going into the babies room. I think it's sweet. I ask him, where did you go? He replies, the babies room! It just melts my heart. I do the same too, even though it is empty. We catch Lola going in there & laying on the little carpet rug. Sweet! We already adore them so much.
-Sometimes I wonder if going to the potty will get better. As of now, no. Ha!
-I am still slow with bending over. I can still tie my shoes, next month might be a different story.
-The doggy & I go to the dairy more & walk around to get fresh air & exercise. Well not always fresh air, lol! The dairy is big enough so we get enough movement.
-Gerard told me this week that I walk like a pregnant lady now. I didn't think I did, but I can feel it now when I walk. Especially, if they are pressing on me.
-The babies are still moving all the time.
-The babies bag is packed, blankets, car seats, nursing pillow are all ready. Finally! I had just been putting it off. It is better it is done because Gerard will be so nervous & not know what to get. I just need to pack my bag & G's too. The midwife recommended we have a little goodie bag of snacks. Gerard liked that idea....chocolate!
-We started putting the babies stroller together & all the attachments so we know how to really use it. G is a pro at it, well I need more time. He just does click...click...fold & done. I do click...ask a question...click...can't bend over...Gerard help me. Funny! He is such a proud Papa!

The colors might be what you think or not?!?! Hmmm....

Enjoying our weekly outing this week & of course Starbuck's was involved!
Pumpkin Spice Latte resting on the babies bump. I don't think they mind especially if whipped cream is on top. Ha!

It's our anniversary!!! Yes, 4 years! Time flies & so much has happened. Gerard & I just celebrated locally & didn't get to go off too far. Our anniversary was during the middle of the week. I was slower that day & kind of cramping, but the evening time came & it was fine. It was fine with me & it's hard to plan when your big pregnant. It didn't matter as long as we celebrated it. I am just glad my dress was stretchy & they make pregnancy tights. Comfy! Happy Anniversary to my G aka Papa! XOXO

Twins 29 Weeks-Halloween

29 Weeks
-Babies are around the size of acorn squash.
-The babies are still so very active most of the day. I have heard for some it is only at certain times. Well not these two!!
-My sleep is still 50/50 & wake up at least 2 times in the night.
-I never knew how heavy my belly could get. Wow!
-Still very thirsty all day & can feel it if I do not drink enough or wait an hour.
-I have tons of pressure in pelvic area, so I am going to the potty even more.
-Using my daily creams & oils on the stomach. The itching hasn't been bad at all lately.
-I can feel they grow because I am too,ha! The end of the week is when I have the most Braxton Hick's contractions.
-It was always in the evening where it would be the most uncomfortable, but now it happens all during the day. Some days are better than others, of course.
-My cravings are okay & not really bad. I am just more hungry & need to have some type of snacks.
-The worst is when I get kicked in the ribs & it won't STOP! Sometimes, I have to push a little back so they can find a new position. I have to breathe too!
-The bending over thing is getting harder & harder. If something drops while I am in the kitchen...Lola is a lucky doggy because I am too slow in picking it up. We joke she is also on maternity leave. Lol!
-I have a few red stops on my chest area & a few on hands. The doctor assures me that it is hormones & part of pregnancy & will go away.
-We are still talking about their names. I think we almost there.

Halloween was this week!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Gerard's family was here visiting. It is always good to see everyone & how much the kids grow & change. They all stayed about a week with us in DK. It was very nice & easy with no plans really...just going with the flow.

Later, in the week I was sick with a bad virus along with G & G's parents. The rest were good! We had all dinner together at G's parents & we came home like normal to relax a little. Then I went to bed & around 12:30 am I became sick. I woke up thinking I had heartburn. However, it was NOT! I began throwing up & thought okay it will be fine & go back to bed. Well I started throwing up & having diarrhea every hour from 12:30 - 5:30. First, I thought it was food poisoning but it wasn't. I was a little worried because I couldn't keep anything down in my stomach. Of course, I began to worry because of the babies. So Gerard called the midwife & we talked a little with her about what was going on. She was also asleep, sorry! Well she was on call anyway. The midwife said, the virus stuff was going around & many people had it. I have never thrown up so much ever, honestly! She advised us to wait just a tad longer to come into the hospital. I was just exhausted from throwing up. No energy left. We waited until 7:00 am & yes it all stopped. Thank the Lord! Finally, I ate a piece of toast & kept it down so a little progress was being made. Gerard went out & bought drinks for me. He came home with Vitamin waters, Sprite & Power Ade. So most of the day I was resting & refilling my body with fluids. That evening, I felt 'normal.' Then the rest of everyone began to get sick.....yucky virus. All I know, is I never want to experience that again.

Once everyone was good & healthy again, we made cookies with the kiddos. It's nice because they are old enough to understand how to do it & makes it more fun.

We all went to the a big Christmas Market in the local area. It was fun, but tons of people. Gave us something to do & get out of the house. Gerard was still a little sick so he didn't get to come. Maybe next time.

It was a nice visit & maybe more interesting when we see them again in December. Maybe with two new little Doldersum's ?!? Well see what December brings for us.

Twins 28 Weeks-7 Months-Pumpkin Carving

This week has started off good so far, I know it will be busy..busy. Last year, a little before Halloween I had some friends over to eat some lunch & carve pumpkins. I thought it would be fun to do again or make it an annual day. So one day this week I will be doing that with the girls.

Gerard & I will be going to the doctor this week to get a check up at hospital to see how the babies & I are doing. I am sure the twins have put a little more weight on. Exciting!

Later, in the  week I will have a glucose test. I have heard that it is an awful drink & some say it's really no big deal. I will let ya know how it goes....I am not worried about it.

Gerard's brother & his family will be coming for a visit to Denmark. We will get to see all the kiddos again, yay!

It is always busy around the dairy-normal. We will be harvesting the last of the corn silage & making it into earlige. (I think that is the correct word, ha!)

G's parents are busy with their house. Redoing the bottom half, so there is people in & out. We will see if they can keep the finish date-before Christmas. Crossed fingers & toes!

Hopefully, these next upcoming weeks G & I will be finished with the babies room. It just needs the small things/details. There is just not enough time in the day. For me it is no problem, but for G is difficult. He can't be at two places at the same time. Sometimes, I say WHY NOT?!?! Lol! I need his man power at times,ha! I have started the ''nesting'' thing. Maybe it is too early maybe not. I just want everything done & want Gerard by my side & even the doggy Lola. So the last part is just easy, only doing the things that are necessary. Ha!

I will write a little more as the week goes on & there is more time to blog.

28 Weeks-7 Months

Pumpkin Carving

-Babies are about the size of eggplants.

-Our ultrasound went fine this week & always so exciting to see the babies.
-Of course, both littles were very active during the sonogram. Baby #1 is 1218 gm (2.68 lbs) & Baby #2 1125 gm (2.48 lbs). These two are always moving...all day & night.  Baby #2 was moving too much, to get an accurate measurement so the nurse did her best. They looked good & everything is going fine.
-Every week I can see I am growing especially at the end of the week. BOOM!

-I can feel it gets harder & harder as I get bigger. It really takes so much energy from me. Therefore, I rest a lot during the day.
-My blood pressure has been excellent at every visit so that is great. We will see how it goes towards the end of pregnancy. With two there is more of a risk with higher blood pressure & preeclampsia.
-I am still drinking many fluids throughout the day.
-Sleeping is 50/50! Some nights are better than others.
-My gums in my mouth are still sensitive at times.
-I have never really had nose bleeds...ever. Now, that I am getting further along I have had a few tiny bleeds. I read it is common in the pregnant.
-These two babies move so much & get stronger & stronger with their kicks. My stomach just moves all over the place.
-I am more slower & not so good at bending over. However, I can still tie my shoes...lol!
- I go the potty often...still...my belly is getting heavy so it presses a lot on the bladder.
-Have been doing stretch exercises at home & go for little walks to get fresh air & some movement.
-I get a little nervous at times thinking about what is coming in a few months.
-Gerard has been supportive & does what he can to comfort me. I know it's not easy on him. We talk a lot & I inform him about the baby stuff so he is a little ready when 'it's time, comes.'
-In the evening, I get small Braxton Hicks contractions & some are tough. They always go over & I just breathe them out. -I have not had any swelling, yet! I know it will come towards the end.
-Honestly, I am just so thankful my health has been great so far in the pregnancy.

-This week, I also had a glucose test. After I arrived, the nurse took a blood sample to test the sugar level. Luckily, it didn't hurt! I had 10 minutes to drink the bottle of glucose. The first cup was okay, but then she poured the 2nd cup. OMG! That was a little tough to get down. The last I just drank in gulps so I could be done with it. Then I had to sit & wait for 2 hours in the doctor's office. I was not a happy camper & was a little sick the first 40 minutes. Finally, the 2 hours was up & I could finish up. The nurse took a blood sample again & that time it hurt. I survived, I just looked away & breathed deep! The nurse wasn't worried & samples looked fine. I was grateful to hear that. Then it was time to eat something because I could not eat anything 10 hours before taking glucose test. I brought a banana with me & ate that directly after test. Then drove home to have breakfast.

Gerard's brother & his family came to Denmark for a visit. I will continue at week 29.

Twins 27 Weeks

27 Weeks
-Babies are the size of cauliflower.
-Babies at this stage are breathing rapidly with lungs. Their brains are beginning to work harder & become more complex. Their immune system is also strengthening. So much is happening & so exciting!
-The babies are poking around my rib area & let me tell ya....it is very uncomfortable! Thank you, Babies!
-I am getting rounder in my belly daily.
-These two are kicking & jabbing like crazy...all the time.
-They take more & more energy from me. I make sure I get all my prenatal vitamins in.
-I am also drinking lots fluids these days. Along with going to the potty because my tummy is so heavy & lots of pressure now.
-I went for a blood test last week & everything is fine...luckily! The babies are also negative blood like me, so I do not have to get any shots.
-Some days are better with sleeping than other days.
-Evening time is still a little harder & have to find the correct position. Mainly,on my left is the best. I know there isn't much place in there.
-Saturday, was a very difficult day for me & has been the worst so far out of all these months. I am not sure if one or both was turning or what, but all I could do was just lay on sides. It was very strenuous the entire day.  The next day was better, thankfully.
-At times I get a little anxious thinking these two are coming soon! Also a little emotional too. All sort of things run through your mind.
-We went to The Blue Planet in Copenhagen with everyone from the dairy. We made it an evening outing, which was very fun & interesting.
-It is getting busy with our daily schedules & they are all filling up quickly.
-I had a twin birth class meeting about natural child birth & cesarean. We were about 10 people in all for our class & was a good size. From ages 40's-20's year old. Many things I knew or had read before hand. The speaker explained very well & made me at ease. To be honest, I am/was a little scared about giving birth to two babies. One I could do no problem! Two is a different story. She gave tips how to be focused in delivery because we all know after one baby is born they will take it to get checked out & the other one still needs to be born. My birth plan is still to have them naturally, but I know that a c-section is still a big chance. We won't really know until the last month. I will admit, I had big eyes when she talked about how many people would be in the room. Almost 10 people plus the father/friend. It is for the best, of course. So after talking about all the details, I feel much better & kind of know what to expect. I just wish my mother could be here during that time. But it is so hard to plan because it is so questionable when the twins come. They could come early or have to be induced. So it will just be G & I in the room...together.
Gerard was very interested in the class & I thought it was really good that he came to the meeting. It is always better to hear these things from someone else besides me all the time. He didn't know so much about how the process worked, but know he does. So he has to be in Daddy mode when the time comes! In a few weeks we need to have a bag packed ready to go. The midwife advised us to have it ready at 30 weeks just in case.

I have a few pictures my Mom wanted to see that I sent her.
27 weeks......filling out! We can't wait to see how big they are next week.
