Weekend in NL~Japke's Wedding

We had the pleasure of going to Japke & Richard's wedding in Holland. It was perfect weather for a wedding! For those of you who do not know Japke is Gerard's cousin from his mother's side(Klunder). I took many pictures of all the family & I hope you all enjoy them.

The first stop was the courthouse in Gorinchem. Where all the close family & friends watched make it official.

After the courthouse ceremony we drove to the church. Suddenly, we looked back & there was the bride & groom driving behind us. It was pretty funny to see.

There was about 30-45 minutes until the wedding started. Everyone walked across the road to the cafe to get something to drink. Well you can guess what Gerard ordered...cold Heineken beer & I did the same. It was good to be back in Holland.

Japke's father Henk is a Pastor so it was extra special that he could marry his daughter.

There is a little story that goes with this picture. Well Gerard forgot his tie in Denmark & so when getting ready at his brother's house........Gerard borrowed one his brother's ties. Gerard's dad helped him pick the tie while Wessel his brother was still at work. Wessel has tons of ties because he wears them everyday to work. So no problem,right?!? Little did we know the tie Gerard borrowed from his brother's closet was NEW! So later when Wessel came to reception he noticed Gerard had his tie on....Okay! It wasn't a big deal he borrowed it. It was not nice that Gerard spilt some drops of beer on it...Oops! This picture says it all!! Brotherly love & I sure hope the stain came out...
