PUZZLE

One of our Christmas gifts from Santa was a PUZZLE & we were happy for it!!! I always put them together as a kid & enjoyed them. Gerard can remember when his Oma Klunder always having a puzzle out. When Wessel & Marga come to visit from Holland they sometimes get one of Hilda's puzzles to do. We knew no one would be coming over so decided to put it together on the dining room table instead of kitchen table. I didn't realize how big it really was until I finished the border of puzzle. It was nice to work on little by litte during my Christmas vacation.  I believe it took me right at 3 days to finish the 1000 piece with some help from G. Now we are puzzled out~ha!

After a shower Gerard helped me one night.

One night after dinner puzzling away....

Finished...taaahhhh....daaahhh!!!

Christmas 2011!!

Merry Christmas 2011!!!
This Christmas was nice, quite & cozy at the Doldersum's(Wessel & Hilda's). On Christmas Eve we went to church & had Christmas service. The church was decorated in red poinsettias, fresh Christmas trees, fresh garland & with many candles. Beldringe church is very old & I belive it is from the medieval times. Through the years it has been updated of course. I just love the high ceilings & old wood work. Here is a  picture from our local church...Beldringe Kirke

We wanted to wish all our families in America & Holland a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Even though all our families were not with us this year I still wanted to say we missed you all.
May the miracle of Christmas fill your hearts.

Blake~Santa knew we needed a webcam!!! ha!

Putting on the Christmas gift from Santa....

Lola finshed her dog advent calander & then turned into the GRINCH!! ha!

Christmas goodies......

Homemade Hottt Chocolate....Ho...Ho...Ho
I am sure when Gerard sees this pic he will be oh so happy! Ha~in his robe, oh well it was Christmas.

As a kid we always made & decorated Christmas cookies on C'mas Eve or C'mas day. I think it's a nice family tradition to carry over.

Julehygge

The other day at school was a ''crafting day'' with all the language students. There was different tables so we could all go around & make different Christmas decorations. One of my classmates took some pictures while we crafted throughout the day.

Me & Sara from Iran. She came in my first class a couple weeks after I started.

The beginning of the paper stars....

Star complete & they took forever to make also with tons of patience!!!

The girl who took some pictures is on the right side, Laura from Poland. She also was there my first day when I started class.

I made a little Nisser. A Nisser translated is a Pixie.

We have all been in the same class for 3 months. So we all are used to joking around & having lunch together. It's been nice having them as classmates.

I made lemon curd cupcakes for my class because I was moving to a new class 3,3. My last day in 3,2. When we all pass a test, have birthdays, or leave we bring goodies to celebrate. We all take tests at different times or when the teacher feels you are ready...so I hope they will come to my new class soon!!

I passed my test & now I am 3,3!! So I moved to my new class last week & was so nervous. It's getting better as time goes by. It takes me a little while to adjust again to change.ha! After my Juleferie(Christmas Break) we will have a new teacher so it will be all new again for everyone. We might even have my level 3,3 just with 3,3's instead of 3,4 & 3,5(highest level) all together. It will be interesting my first day back at school in 2012!!!

Dairy Christmas Tree

Well let's just say the Christmas tree...was short lived!!! A day or two later there was a wind storm & split tree trunk when it fell over. There's always next year...right?!? It was such a bummer & the lights were even on, too! So I wanted to show some pictures ANYWAY.
