I guess Old Man Winter finally came to visit us here in Denmark! We woke up this morning & it was a little snowy outside. I still get all excited when I wake up to snow....ready to walk or play in it! ha! There was no snowball fights today only a nice walk.

The Hot Chicks were scared to come out in the snow this morning. They are all huddled up in the corner not sure what to do...stay inside...or explore?!?!

Lola didn't break the rules today....notice she is still on her ''new'' leash.

This is one of Gerard's sliding moves! ha! I will admit I only slipped & fell 3 times down hill. However, right when I slipped going down Gerard laughs at me then he takes a few more steps & he almost falls too. He caught himself but it was way funny. There was a lot of small hills so now we know which ones are good for some action. Next, time we will bring a sled or whatever we can find to have dangerous fun!!!

Dreary Weekend

It was a dreary weekend with a little sunshine. One day it snowed for a hours, but it just wasn't cold enough for it to stick. Our first snow this year! Then the next day was warmer & sunny for a few hours. The temperature was still chilly,but good enough to go on a walk. It has been a wet winter for us this year....maybe more snow will come in February?!?!

Sunday afternoon we went for a walk in the woods close to our home. We just cut through our plowed up field.ha! There is normaly many people that walk or go horse riding, but not today. Here are a few pictures of our outing....

Well....we stopped to chat a minute & look at the view. Gerard saw Lola chewing on the leash a little cause she wants to be free like at the dariy, but didn't think anything of it. Then we went to walk some more... suddenly..... the leash handle was in one hand & Lola was not attached! She hates the leash cause she really never has to put it on. Lola broke one of the rules in the woods=ALL PETS MUST BE ON A LEASH WHILE WALKING IN THE WOODS!!! I hope this doesn't mean if you can't control your pet....then we will not be able to control our children,too...hummmmm. I guess we will still continue to practice on our pet. ha,ha! It really is never a dull moment with us & next time it will be better if we keep our menace at home! Maybe next tour we can follow the rules while walking....

40 years on the throne

Gerard & I happened to have small shopping trip planned in Copenhagen & then Queen was touring the town the same day. Queen Margrethe II was celebrating 40 years on the throne so people lined the streets & waved their flags. It truly was neat to be part of & see. I believe it is a three day celebration & have enjoyed watching all the events on t.v. plus it helps my with Danish.ha!

Someone in the crowd ask the guard what his horse(hest) name was in Danish & he then yelled back''Henk''...it was funny! The man next to us was saying all the ''Royal Horses'' are call Henk! Honestly, I was a little afraid at first cause the Henk was moving & making all kinds of noises. I suppose they are trained for things such as this with all these people. As Queen Margrethe came closer Henk the horse followed in with the rest of the group & the guard began beating his drum. Then it was exciting!!!

Later in the day we were in the Magasin shopping & took a picture from the 7th level. If you notice there are all the Danish flags flying in honor of the Queen's 40år Celebration.
