Hot Chicks

Today we picked up the chickens & we hope they will like their new home. Gerard & I already named them''The Hot Chicks''. Supposably the brown eggs taste better than the white eggs. So we are supporting the brown chickens this go around.

Lola is absolutely obsessed with all 10 of them.

You see what I mean with obsessed!!!!

Happy Living...Hot Chicks!!!

Family

It sure was a wonderful visit with my family in Texas & I will dearly miss them...especially my Momma!!! These days it helps so much with Facebook,Skype & just the internet. As for the homesick part it hasn't happened yet since I just went for a visit. No matter if we lived 5 hours away or 14 hours by plane it still is very far!!

Hurricane Harbor

Well...Blake & I got this CrAzY idea to do the drop swing at Hurricane Harbor. I guess the water rides were not good enough!! It was so out of my league to do this....what was I/we thinking?!?! This drop swing is the second highest in the US the highest is in Florida.
Explaining what was about to go down!!

Pulling us backwards to the top of tower!
Blake had to pull the string to go down.It was terrible the first few seconds then awesome the rest of the way!

We made it hanging onto the 50lb.of pressure to help stop us. Blake carried my part since I only had one arm on hold!

Mom was happy her children made it down. Later that day Blake did the drop swing again,I sat out on that one..lol!

Texas Rangers

During my stay in Texas we went to watch the Texas Rangers play. I have not been in a long time,I can remember we would go as kids. It was the old ballpark then...I kid Blake about it cause he doesn't know/remember the old one!

On the trolley to the ballpark!

During the game I believe the announcer mentioned:
34,000 people in attentance that night, but the third night there was like 40,000.
Also the former President George Bush(son) was attending that night too. My camera would not zoom so good to get closer. To my knowledge he attends regular home games since he is a shareholder of the Rangers. If you look towards the bottom right of dugout he's sitting there by brick wall.

This posterboard was above us during the game. This took place during changing of innings a person had to find the posterboard to win a prize & it was right by us. He found it with the crowds help & won the prize!

The Texas flags were a going when Nelson Cruz hit a home run during our game!

I also captured the fireworks going off right after he hit the home run.

The crowd getting pumped up after a play.
