They're HERE!

They're here & I am smiling from ear to ear!
Heading home from the airport in the car & it starts....Blake already joking & making fun of me. Oh how I missed the laughing, joking, picking & getting mad at Blake. Poor Mom just sitting in the back shaking her head. Gerard driving & just laughing. We made it back to our house & Mom & Blake were doing pretty well with the jet lag. I made breakfast for them & helped them get unpacked. I say unpacked because Mom brought me tons of stuff from America,ha! American snob! That took up some time  then they started to get tired. I only wanted them to sleep two hours at the most because they will definitely be all messed  up with the times. That's the problem when you fly so early to Europe. Nap time was over & time to wake everyone up. I needed a few groceries at the store  & took them to see where I do my local grocery shopping in Præstø. I have a little funny moment! Of course, everything is new to Mom & Blake so I knew the questions would start coming....WHY, WHAT, REALLY... Mom & Blake didn't know what to think when we had to put a coin in the shopping basket in order to use it. When your done with the basket you just hook it back  up & it gives you the coin back. That is because people do not steal the carts or they aren't left all over parking lot!  We were in one aisle talking & noticed a lady just looking at us. She was looking at us because Mom was talking so loud then Blake goes,''Mom tone it down.'' Mom had no clue she was talking loud, but it was so dang funny. I was just laughing at her. Then we were checking out & Mom was just looking at me. I knew instantly what she was meaning & I am just used to it. The cashiers sit while they check people out & run the items on the belt to end. Plus you have to sack your own groceries there is no 'sackers' & have to bring your own bags. It's not like Walmart or Brookshire's. LOL!

We decided to go check out the harbor first & get some ice cream.

After we toured the harbor & bought groceries  next stop was to visit Gerard at the dairy. Gerard was super busy that day cause his parents were gone to Holland to see the new grandbaby. Plus they were harvesting grass silage. Blake offered to help cover it up when they were done harvesting. Rain was in the forecast so it had to be covered. Normally, it goes fine but this time it didn't go so smooth. Gerard & Blake finished & it was a late late night. Both glad to be home & in bed! Especially for Blake being jet lagged.

It was time for us to head home & of course Lola wanted to come. So much attention!

I was in the kitchen getting dinner ready & seen this from my view. If you look close you will see the little deer by the tree & Mr. Pheasant.

Our first day turned out to be wonderful. Mom & Blake enjoyed the weather being so mild for summer. We don't have 100 degree weather here in Denmark....more like 70's-80's for summer most of the days.

Stayed tuned for more of our family vacation.......
